This was recorded by the Portsmouth Sinfonia in an experiment where all the members of the orchestra would swap instruments with each other and attempt to play them to the best of their ability.
This is the result. And it makes me laugh every single time.
It tries to be so dramatic but it just falls flat. Love it.
It’s like a teenaged boy’s voice cracking when he tries to say something in a deep, manly voice. Thunderous, powerful music that… isn’t quite pulled off. Beautiful.
OH GOD I JUST STARTED CRYING fdoighjt oih THIS IS HILARIOUS

That’s right, kiddos! You can save 10% on a gottabeastringplayer shirt with the spreadshirt code “OCT12.” I’d love to see some people get some shirts (where are those like… 200 people who expressed interest?) so then I can promo them and also attempt to make shirts for favorite pieces!
Once again, promo code “OCT12” for 10% off!
Um… I’m not sure who the “they” party is. If it’s voice, you definitely follow them, no matter how arrhythmic they are. If it’s another instrumentalist, try and see if they can count more in time.
Also if you’re leery of buying things because you think I’m making mad bank off of this, I’m not. Like I put only 10% commission for myself on these things. The rest of it is just because it costs so much to print text and also use the designs (sorry, cellists). I know other spreadshirt shops jack their prices way up and it’s like almost $50 for a sweatshirt, but I’m trying to keep things on the low side. But yes, there’s now a “not my department” type shirt for cellists. I’m working on one for violists which will go up probably on the weekend because I should actually do work.
Also if there are any creative ideas for a bassist shirt, let me know! I have absolutely zero ideas for those.
Oh my goodness. Are you SERIOUS?! That’s insane.
Basically, we’re in the same boat. We’re in high demand and people are totally jealous. It’s a thing.
OH YES, IF MY VIOLIN/VIOLA COUNTS

OH MY GOD YES. HOW CAN I FORGET ABOUT OUR LOVE-MARK.
If it does possess you to buy a t-shirt/sweater, please do take a picture and submit it! If you have a blag, you’ll be promoted and I’ll also post your favorite piece.
Now I’m considering making shirts for pieces/composers. Thoughts?
The current design I have up is different than the original design that I posted on here. Instrument-specific shirts for strings will be coming soon.

More designs! I’m sorry about some of them being super not cost-friendly (i.e., the cellist shirts)—some of the designs were exceedingly costly to use and stuff. :(
I can try! The only problem with alto is that it looks EXACTLY the same as tenor. But yes, I’ll definitely give it a go. Look for it this weekend because during the weeks, I’m absolutely swamped with work.
